National Assessment Service – Executive Assistant
35 hours a week (52 weeks per year)
To commence Term Three 2025 (or closely negotiated)
The position will be based at the BLENNZ Homai Campus located in Manurewa, Auckland.
BLENNZ is a special character school that provides educational services to learners who are blind, deafblind or low vision throughout New Zealand. We is committed to being a culturally responsive and Te Tiriti honouring school.
We are seeking an Executive Assistant who will provide support to the National Assessment Service team.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience in school operations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A good understanding of accounting/finance/budgeting
- Excellent organisation, problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with travel booking
- The ability to work effectively within a team/s
- The ability to engage and communicate effectively with a wide range of people across diverse backgrounds
It would be an advantage to have some experience in the medical/ophthalmic field as some tasks do involve this aspect of knowledge, however training will be provided.
Only applicants who are legally entitled to work in New Zealand will be considered. You must also be safety checked (police vet) prior to employment being confirmed.
The position is covered by the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement. The position is paid at Administration Grade 4.

BLENNZ Wellington – Resource Teacher Vision (RTV)
Permanent 1.0 Position (1SU)
Starting beginning of Term 3, 2025 school year.
BLENNZ Wellington is looking for a dynamic, innovative and experienced teacher with current Teacher Registration and up-to-date knowledge of the NZ Curriculum to support the education of ākonga who are blind, deafblind and low vision from birth to 21 years.
The successful applicant will have good interpersonal skills, be a competent user of technology and demonstrate an ability to develop excellent working relationships with parents, family/whānau and educators. Working successfully as part of a team is a key component of this itinerant position. Experience in vision education is desirable, but not essential.
