Everyday Living:

Ākonga are learning to use the water test to check the pan is ready to add food items. They are also learning to use safe grating techniques which involves laying the grater down flat on the table and grating the item away from their bodies.

Assistive Technology:

Ākonga are developing their understanding of the various features of the Seeing AI app. This includes using the app to read recipes as well as provide descriptions of food items and cooking utensils to support independence in the kitchen.
