My name is Sue, and I am the Assistant Principal National Services. I lead four national teams: the National Assessment team, the BLENNZ Early Learning Service (BELS) team, the DOM team, and the Immersion team, supporting coordinated services and outcomes across our network.
My background is in early childhood education, having worked in many Kindergartens across South Auckland. I have qualifications and experience in both Early Intervention and Vision Education and have been fortunate enough to have worked 25 of my teaching years with BLENNZ in a number of teams and positions.
Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI) and ākonga who have learning needs that are complex have been a focus and passion of mine for many years. Coordinating the planning of professional learning opportunities for Resource Teachers’ Vision (RTV) to enhance practice and strengthen knowledge and skills is also something I really enjoy.
