Guided by the Te Ao Māori principle of Tuakana Teina, learners shared knowledge, supported one another, and developed skills focused on the Expanded Core Curriculum.
Partnerships with organisations, including the Halberg Foundation and Blind Low Vision NZ, enriched learning experiences. Highlights included exploring iPad accessibility features, collaborative problem-solving, music and arts activities, and practical everyday living experiences.
The Christchurch whānau group continues to strengthen family connections and provide sensory learning opportunities, while Timaru’s termly preschool whānau group has enhanced family engagement and learning beyond home and centre environments.
